We all have goals in life. Some of them may be huge, like getting a promotion at work or getting married. Others may be smaller, like making your bed daily or drinking more water. Today I’m going to tell you how you too can achieve that last goal. Here is your ultimate guide to drinking more water!
It’s important for the human body to drink plenty of water throughout the day. Our bodies are made of 60% water! (usgs.gov) Keeping our bodies well supplied with water is important for it to function properly.
If you’ve set a goal for yourself to drink more water each day then you’ll want to track your progress. Use a handy app like MyFitnessPal to record how much water you drink every day. It’s fun to watch your progress increase over time and it’ll help keep you motivated!
This is the number one most important thing you can do. I highly, HIGHLY, suggest you have a water bottle and take it with you where ever you go. If you always have water with you, then you’ll always have the opportunity to drink it. No excuses.
Infuse with Fruit.
If you don’t like the taste of regular water then try spicing it up with some fruit! Kiwi, strawberries, lemons, and oranges are some of my favorite. Experiment with mixing different fruits and adding some honey or cinnamon. You can create your own secret recipe!
Lemon water is actually very good for you and helps to detoxify your body. Have a warm glass of lemon water every day before breakfast – it’s a great way to start your morning!
Similar to infusing your water with fruit, you can infuse your water with tea! Having a nice warm cup of (decaffeinated) tea before bed is soothing to both your body and mind. Cozy up and read a book while you enjoy your tea, it’s a great way to relax.
One of the most important things you can remember is to believe in yourself. If you want to drink more water then you can! You simply have to put your mind to it and take action. It’s now or never!
